up to the challenge

Here are some layouts I completed for a couple of February challenges.
I surprised myself on this one.  It came together pretty fast.  The challenge was to create a love-themed layout without using red or pink, could not use hearts or the word "love" or anything valentine-y.  I think the paper is MME, it had a big green dinosaur - not really a good image to use for 2 teenage girls.  but I loved the color combos, the swirls, & the plaid background.  I'm happy with the end result.

I Glimmer Misted some of the flowers & inked the edges of others.  I curled wire through some of the buttons.
For our February project at The Red Bee, our challenge was to incorporate yarn in our layout.
Here is a sneak peek of my project this month.
I will reveal the rest of the project next week.

Sharing a little TC project

Recently a long time friend had a sweet baby boy.  There is no other feeling like holding a newborn baby.  I took this opportunity to play with some new Teresa Collins product.  Using the Chic Bebe Boy line I put together a quick mini album.  I was a little sad that I couldn't get my hands on the chipboard elements or clear stamps.   So I used what I had, 5 or 6 patterned papers, ribbons, and the die cut envelope.  Here are a few pix of the project:
I know the cover looks a little plain, but I added a frame & a few embellishments.  I didn't have a chance to get a picture after :(

The project came together pretty easily.  I love TC products, so gorgeous & fun to work with.  Other items I used on this project:  cardstock, glittered cardstock,Cuttlebug embossing folders, various dies, various border punches, BIA O-wire, & Cat's Eye chalk
